Large Quarto hardcover bound in blue cloth boards, and is in very good condition. It has 166 pages and has over 325 beautiful historical picture postcards.
Also has the title in white lettering on the spine. Slight rub marks on the top and bottom spine, and on the front and back corners of the book.
The dust jacket has a small tear on the top of the spine; otherwise it is also in good condition.
Oscar I. Norwich (1910–1994) was born in Johannesburg, South Africa; he was a practicing surgeon and one of the world’s foremost authorities on African maps. He has concentrated on cards of early Johannesburg, which he obtained both locally and internationally.
