1.) A PLACE TO LIVE - Some Aspects of Native Housing in Johannesburg

Published in 1953 by the Johannesburg Citizens Housing Committee.

30pp. Illustrated.

A pamphlet that was issued to highlight the housing shortage of black South Africans in and around Johannesburg in the 1950's. The Right Rev. Ambrose Reeves, Bishop of Johannesburg, stated in the foreword that the appalling circumstances under which many thousands were condemned to exist was causing a serious breakdown of home life, and was leading to a complete collapse of moral standards.

A very uncommon pamphlet.

Published in Durban by AFRAPIX, 1985.
