Hard cover, brown boards, Volume 1: Fold out map of Africa at the frontis + 374 numbered pages, three plates (complete). Boards have separated from text blocks which are still intact. Volume 2: pp. iv + 348, 6 plates (complete). Rear hinges cracked text blocks intact. Volume 3. pp. v + 323, 2 plates (complete), of Cape Town and Bethelsdorp. Front and rear hinges cracked but text blocks intact. Foxing on end papers but text pages in all 3 volumes are clean. Boards rubbed and faded.
