Original dark blue boards with silver decorations and lettering to front board, and spine. Slight fading.
At the end of the volume there are accounts of Cecil John Rhodes and Barnato. These chapters bristle with mistatements; Rhodes is alluded to as "Sir Cecil," and it is asserted that Barnato "controlled upward" of a million dollars or £200,000,000, " more than the combined wealth of the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts and Goulds."
SOURCE: Mendelssohn. Volume 2. Page 320.
(Mr Barnato's will was proved at under one million sterling.) 235 pages text with line drawings and publishers advertisement.
