Coloured map outline with routes of the diamond and gold files indicated in red, mounted on linen in panels, folding into cloth covered boards (with a simulated leather grain), worn paper title label on the upper cover, the boards are rubbed at the edges and worn on the spine, but the map is in good condition.
A very early map of the diamond fields. Pniel is shown but not Kimberley. The gold fields indicated are the Manica and Northern Gold Fields. The gold fields of the eastern Transvaal are not marked nor, of course, the Witwatersrand.
