This is the 40th volume in the Africana Collectanea series. Copy number 22 of the de luxe leather bound edition which was limited to only 50 copies. The total print run of this facsimile edition was limited to 1,000 copies including the standard edition. Original brown leather spine and corners with a green title label on the spine with gilt titling and the publisher's device on the upper board. 4 prelims, followed by a facsimile of the 1866 George Routledge, London, edition with xiii prlims, 289 pages and black and white illustrations.
CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a few minor scuff marks and the gilt number and publisher's name at the bottom of the spine have worn off. There is a bookeller label on the front paste down. Otherwise a fresh and clean copy.
