Africa on Maps Dating from the Twelfth to the Eighteenth Century

Seventy-seven photo copies from European map collections. Facsimiles of ancient maps of Africa dating from the 12th to 18th century. Most of the maps are reproduced in colour, at their original size, thus enabling the reader not only to reconstruct the succession of events in the discovery of Africa, but also to follow the changes in the art of cartography.

In addition a book is affixed in a cloth pocket in front. This book has 60 pages and describe in detail notes on the maps.  Also a list of Cartographers and Location of each map.

Shipping weight of 7 kilograms. Book measures 5 cm x 36 cm x 54 cm.
