African Game Trails, an Account of the African Wanderings of an American Hunter Naturalist, by Theodore Roosevelt, former President of the USA. A hunting classic. This work was the result of Roosevelt's ten month hunting trip through Central and Northern Africa after leaving the White House in March, 1909 and relates the journey from Mombasa through the mountain regions of British East Africa, to Victoria Nyanza, through the Congo and Sudan to Khartoum and on to Cairo via the Nile.

Hard cover, in two handsome green cloth bindings with gilt titles. 676 pages, illustrated with maps and black & white photographs. Pages uncut, tissue guard to frontis of volume one strengthened with tape, five leafs in volume two are torn at the bottom with some loss not affecting text, there is a small stain on the cover of volume two. A clean and tight set.

Note added by Richmond Books and Prints, Tuesday, 16th October. This is the 1920 two volume reprint and not the Limited First Edition.
