Engraved frontispiece (fraying at the edges and creased and with minor repairs in the bottom margin – this frontispiece is often missing), engraved title page, (i blank), (20), 345, (4 register) pages, 115 full-page engraved plates, maps and plans, contemporary full sprinkled calf, page edges dyed light red, marbled end papers, front hinge splitting at the bottom, spine decorated gilt in panels with a red title label, corners worn, watermarks on the index pages at the back of the book, some pages and plates browned, overall the plates and text are in very good condition with wide margins.
