D.W. Barnes.  On the Genera Unio and Alasmodonta , with introductory remarks. Published in 2 parts, with illustrations. The present volume  contains the two parts removed from the original volume, pp . 107-127; 258-280;  along with a photocopy of an 1827 article by Barnes.  

Plates-- part 1: 1-8; pt. 2: 12-13.  (Complete set of plates.) Folding plate is present. Plate 12 has a hole. Plates and text water-stained; plates trimmed, some with loss at fore-edges, supplied in facsimile by Johnson.

Green cloth binding with gilt spine lettering, incorrectly dated 1833. Approx. 8 3/4 inches; 23 cm.

The plates are by Arthur J. Stansbury (1781-1865) & Amos Doolittle (1754-1832), who also collaborated on Edward Hitchcock's A Sketch of the Geology , Mineralogy , and Topography of the Connecticut.
