The main title is something of a misnomer, since it is a fanciful traveller\'s tale. However the book contains a lively account of the first few years of Johannesburg\'s existence, as well as a well-described journey by postcart from the interior over the Drakensberg into Natal, as well as a description of the Berg, Basutoland and its people. 135 pp with engraved frontis.Good condition in slightly worn covers, bookplate of J Jeppe on prelims as well as presentation inscr on htp by author. An uncommon book
