The Religious Tract Society, London. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Illustrated cover in brown, red and mustard of a boy being chased by a herd of elephant, lioness on spine. Red titles, cover is a little rubbed and just a little wear to spine head and foot, back cover has light marking. Plain end-papers with a prize label but no inscriptions. Colour t.p. and dramatic frontispiece.

Two further colour plates, one of which must be one of the most bizarre golfing scenes: The King (of Uganda) at Golf. 12 further b&w photo illustrations including: Masai and Kavirondo warriors, huntsmen and edible rat, a steam train and Mengo Cathedral (burnt in 1910). Undated book but probably 1913. Uncommon.
