Unusual item for the Battiss completist. This 125pp. hardbound book contains short sayings by people of note, translated into Afrikaans. The dw. is illustrated by Battiss and there are numerous line drawings of very poor quality throughout by Battiss - not one of his major achievments! The index at the rear has fairly copious annotations in ballpoint pen(see photo). The original grey cloth has some bubbling - no doubt a binding fault. Othwerwise a clean copy.
