The album consists of 47 photographs :36 photographs taken of battle sites and 11 of general interest. They are mainly 110 x 80mm and are in very good condition. Each photograph has a detailed caption below it. They are housed in a pictorial card covered book with the title Drawing Book – fine rough drawing paper printed on the upper cover.
In the bottom left hand corner on the front cover is a handwritten note Printed from Mr Sells film taken October 1901
The battle sites are Colenso, Spionkop, PietersHill and the Siege of Ladysmith
