2 volumes, 515 + 525 pages, frontispiece portraits of the author in each volume, 30 plates and text illustrations, 2 coloured folding maps, original brown cloth – spines slightly darkened - with a map of Austral Africa stamped in black on the upper covers and gilt titling on the upper covers and spines, foxing on the title page of volume I otherwise the contents are clean and bright, a very good set.
