Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton CBE was an English fashion, portrait and war photographer, diarist, painter, interior designer and an Academy Award–winning stage and costume designer for films and the theatre. In this book he reminisces his experiences in Ballet Theatre as photographer and designer. Illustrated with many photographs and drawings by the author. No. 68 of the Limited Edition (number of copies not stated) as per a sticker tipped on to the half-title page and signed by Beaton on the same page.
In the original silk-like cloth covered boards which has moderate irregular fading. Decorated endpapers by Beaton. Internally very clean. A very good copy.
