The value of this item lies in the photographs taken behind Boer lines, the text as well as its scarcity.

Bound in the original red coloured cloth covered boards, but with a new spine and end papers.

This item is paginated continuously from page one and ends at page 108. It starts with Volume 1 Number 1 dated Wednesday, March 28, 1900 and continues to Volume 1 Numbers 2 (Dated April 11) , 3 (Dated May 2), 4 (Dated May 23), 5 (Dated June 13) and ends with Number 6 dated Wednesday, July 4, 1900.

CONDITION DETAILS: The original cloth covered boards are creased and stained. There is very little moth damage internally, but for pages 65 and 66 and an image has been provided to show the holes in the paper. A piece of black paper was put under page 65 when the image was taken to emphasize the extent of the moth damage, which is largely restricted to the outer margin and not the text or illustrations. Several signs of use and ageing, but overall an acceptable copy.
