Twenty-nine page typescript article by noted geologist and discoverer of diamond fields in Namibia and Namaqualand, on the occasion of the 40th jubilee of the foundation of the first German colony in SWA. There are two versions of the last page, where the author obviously changed his mind about the content. There is a handwritten note at the top of the first page that it was published in Freiburg in April 1924. Very good condition in sprung folder. Provenance: from the estate of the late Dr Reuning.
