A delightful portfolio of recent oil paintings by popular South African artist, Scats Esterhuyse.

The painting depicted on page 37 titled 'The promise' recently fetched R175000 on a charity auction. The following refers;

A painting by Scats Esterhuyse was sold to raise funds for the KidneyBeanz Trust, which helps children with kidney disease and their families.

THE plight of children with severe kidney disease and defects will be eased somewhat, following the donation of R87 500 to the KidneyBeanz Trust.

The money came from the auction of a painting by renowned South African artist Scats Esterhuyse at Graham’s Fine Art Gallery at Broadacres Lifestyle Centre in Fourways.

Esterhuyse offered the trust 50 percent of his painting, entitled Backs to the Wind: Muizenberg. It was sold for R175 000 at the charity auction on 7 October 2010.
