The Halse family book plate on the front paste down. Robin Halse was well know in South African hunting crcles and his daughter, Jane, runs Rowland Ward Publications. Robin Halse put his name in pen on the front free end paper with "Corpus Christie College Cambridge 5/5/49."
Original brown cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. Top edge brown. 215 pages, frontis photo of buffalo hull.
CONDITION DETAILS: The binding is still tight, but the gilt titles are faded and there are a few wear marks. The end papers are browned. When Robin Halse wrote his name on the front free end paper, he left an ink stain at the bottom of the page.
