Halse family book plate on the front paste downs of both volumes. Robin Halse ( R.D. Halse's name and date also in pen on free front end paper in both volumes) was well known in South African hunting circles and his daughter, Jane, runs Rowland Ward Publications. Original red buckram bindings with gilt titling on the spines and the upper boards. Volume one has xiv prelims, 301 pages, 97 black and white illustrations. Volume two has x prelims, 356 pages and 106 black and white illustrations.
CONDITION DETAILS: The bottoms of the spines have a stain mark. The rear end paper of volume 2 has a fold mark.
