  • Characters in this dramatisation include Smuts, Botha, Merriman and Herzog. An unusual title, apparently published in paperback as well, but this hardcover edition would appear to be scarce. From the important Africana library of James Hamilton Russell with his bookplate on the front pastedown and his small rubber stamped insignia at the bottom of the title page. With a wonderful inscription from the author to Hamilton Russell 'to whose initial inspiration and encouragement this little piece owes a great debt'. Very good in the original cloth with some foxing of the edges.
