This lot comprises:

An official printed O.H.M.S. Document titled "Protecting Certificate" and completed and signed in ink. Granting one Heinrich Dietrich (of Zeerust, Marico District), "having surrendered", and his family, "the Protection of His Majesty's Forces" and defining his farm and possessions including a M.K. Sporting Rifle. 1pp. Size 19x16cms. Signed and dated 4th. June 1900.

A second printed document, completed in ink, regarding the same Heinrich Dietrich. In this document, he acknowledges defeat of the ZAR and the Orange Free State by His Majesty's Forces, and requests the rights and privileges of a British subject. He acknowledges himself to be a subject of His Majesty King Edward the Seventh and expresses his allegiance to him. 1pp. Size 27x14.5cms. Signed and dated 15th. February 1902.

Railway Permit for Civilians. Printed document completed in ink and signed giving a Mr Libman permission to travel by train from Johannesburg to Pretoria. 1pp. Size 17x16cms. Dated 5th. November 1901.

Typed letter signed by the C.S.O. of the Pretoria District recommending that all members of the Zeerust Town Guard to be granted the Queen’s South Africa medal. 1pp. Size 32x20cms. Dated 17th. January 1904.

Condition: Some fraying of edges.
