269pp. Cloth hardcover with embossed pictorial and title to front cover and spine. Cellophane protected DW. Profusely illustrated with line and b/w photo illustrations throughout. Signed by author to front free EP and again to the Preface page.

The DW has a chunk missing from the top of the spine that chops off half of the author's name. Further creasing to the front of the DW. The book however is in marvelous, very good condition with only slight bumping to the corners. Internally clean and tight with perfect EPs. 

A very interesting book filled with lots of interesting and useful information. It covers observation on habits of big game animals, hunting leopard, various horned game, game birds, etc.  Col. Deneys Reitz and Cornwallis-Harris are mentioned in the book. Chapters on Sable antelope, Lion and various other beasts. Also a chapter on the notorious 'Royal' Bainsvlei massacre.
