  • Recased in navy-blue rexine covered boards with gilt titling to the spine.
  • Paperblock edges trimmed on recasing.
  • The half-title page and the dedication page are both stamped G C CATO; though without provenance this book could once have belonged to George Cato the first Mayor of D'Urban who with his immigrant parents originally settled in Grahamstown.
  • The title page has ownership details neatly applied in red ink as well as a newspaper obituary notice somewhat crudely pasted on (see pic).
  • A nearly imperceptible repair to the bottom fore-corner of the title page and the following page.
  • Pages are age tanned: xxiii + 161.
