Overall a good copy in a contemporary binding with a presentation inscription from the author on the half title page which reads, 'All Illmo. Sig. Matteo Giorgi Genova l'Autore' (the lower part of the inscription has been cropped in the binding).

Included are fifty plates, eight of which depict South African plants, mostly Aloes and related genera.'
