Published by the author, and printed by Waterlow & Sons Ltd, this rather scarce volume contains 29 chapters written in narrative style and recounting the actions of Private 'Ginger Gibbs','Tubby Parker' and 'Potty Perkins' and their Askari, against the Germans in areas of East Africa during the First World War, including: Zomba (Nyasaland), the Serengeti (van Deventer's march into German East Africa under Smuts' command), Ruaha, Iringa, etc...(94pp. total).
The boards are very worn and marked, corners bumped, shelf-wear, spine faded, etc...but the contents are in reasonable condition (though the paper has experienced a fairly pronounced 'browning' process of oxidisation), with occasional finger marks, fox marks, etc.. and with some of the gatherings beginning to separate. A good reading copy of this fairly scarce book.
