Theal's Compendiums from 1873 until 1877 were all printed at Lovedale, as was the matter of this volume. Sheets were then sent overseas to Edward Stanford who cut and bound them. This is the first volume of Theal's work to be published and sold overseas.
The condition of this book is good, apart from foxing on the title page and of a lesser degree up to vii.
