Contemporary hardbound scrapbook, boards worn, spine split but still firm binding. Contains approx. 30 pages (a couple loose), each with cuttings from contemporary newspapers providing news of the war's progress. Some cuttings identified by publication, many not. Similarly some dated, others not. At the rear a few pages deal with post-war matters, e.g. a report of the naval review at Spithead in June 1911. The vast majority of Boer War cuttings relate to the early phase of the war, to the fall of Pretoria.
