How it works

Register

xiv + 510pp + 2pp. Original cloth hardcover. frontis, illustrations, 2 folding maps, complete as called for.

Spine has come adrift in two pieces. Corners are bumped and worn. Slight cracking to EP hinges. Internally clean and tight with light occassional foxing, mostly to tissue-guards. The large folding map has a 4inch tear on on of the folds and a smaller stress-tear in the gutter. Ideal candidate for a reback/rebind, as are all of Stanley's works.

Account of battles in Ghana (against the Ashanti) and in Ethiopia.
