Cornelis Moll opened a printing business at 12 Kortemarkstraat in July 1836. He became insolvent in 1840, moved to Durban, later to Ladysmith, Potchefstroom and Pretoria successively, where he printed various newspapers (in the last-mentioned two places he was assisted by his son C P Moll) (South African Printers and Publishers 1795-1925, compiled by Fransie Rossouw)
