A large octavo softcover book (174 x 245mm) in a thin card pictorial cover with printed flaps; in Good condition with slight shelf wear to bottom of cover and slight signs of shelf rubbing. 17 preliminary and 242 pages of text, including index; 16 pages of black& white photographic illustrations. Based on interviews with former generals of the South African Defence Force, by a former conscript who served in Angola, the book looks in detail at South Africa's intervention in Angola, Namibia and Mozambique. It examines the armed struggle of the ANC and the war by South Africa against the liberation movements and various other top secret issues.
