A rare Boer War volume "Printed for Private Circulation". Slim 8vo. 84 pages, including 23 full page photographic plates and Rolls of Honour and Casualties at the rear. In the original olive green cloth. Appears only in the later Vol. 5 of the SABIB on pages 95 and 135, with only 1 copy located - the copy in the Johannesburg Public Library. Not in Hackett.

The original cloth has some light wear and a slightly faded spine. Signed on the front free endpaper by one Gavin Grey, with an inscription identifying him as "Sergt. Volunteer Services Company, 1st. Royal Scots, 11 January 1900 to 30 September 1900". Light offsetting to the endpapers but internally a very clean copy of this very uncommon book.
