October 1899 to February 1900, By a Beaconsfield Resident.

There is some light foxing throughout, top and bottom of the spine are frayed and a 3 cm tear in the margin of the back cover, signature of a previous owner appears on the front cover and on the first page of text. Overall a good copy of a scarce siege account.

Hackett, South African War Books, An Illustrated Bibliography, page 149. lists the second edition only. Four copies of the first edition are listed in A South African Bibliography.
