Size stated is nominal with some variation between volumes. All are in stiff card wraps. Two volumes have a little discolouration adjacent to the spine crease of the front wrap, others clean with a little rubbing as one would expect on this style of wrap. Text in all volumes is in typewritten format to right face opening only. VOLUME 1: by Major GF Tatham of the Natal Carbineers and resident of Ladysmith at the time of the Siege. Second publication 1974. 26pp with biographical detail added. Fold out map to end. VOLUME 2: written by Miss Bella Craw - a day-to-day account of the life of a young woman resident in the town. Second reprint 1980. 68pp. VOLUME 3: Letters from Ladysmith by Lieut-Colonel C.W.park of The Devonshire Regiment written during The Siege, to his wife in India. Undated. 64pp. VOLUME 4: Un-published letters from the Siege and an extract from Lt. Vol. B.W.Martin's memoirs entitled "Old Soldiers Never Die" Undated; fep has No 167 stamped in corner perhaps indicating first publication in limited edition. Some contents un-paginated - total 50pp+. VOLUME 5: Extracts from notes taken on the Boer Campaign by Arthur Joseph Crosby, Natal Carbineers. First 1976. 46pp with photographs. VOLUME 6: Experience of a Siege - A nurse looks back on Ladysmith by Nurse Kate Driver (Mrs J.J.Boyd) published by The Society with kind permission of The Albany Museum, Grahamstown. 1978, 51pp.
