Vol 1 ' 'N CHRONOLOGIE' = 396pp. Laminated soft cover. B/W illustrations interspersed with text throughout. Inscribed and signed limited first edition, counter-signed 'No4/50'.
Vol 2 'DIE KAARTE' = 48pp. Laminated soft cover. 41 maps, diagrams and tables, printed in 4 colours throughout. Signed limited first edition, counter-signed 'No4/50'.
The print run of this, now out of print, first edition, 2 volume set, was limited to just 50 copies. Only four of the 50 were numbered by the author at the Boer War 110 Year Anniversary festivities held in Richmond in May 2012. Following the exposure and interest that this limited print run has received, an eagerly awaited 2nd impression is anticipated.
Both volumes are banded together with a single b/w printed band depicting a lone soldier on horseback. This banded set is in fine unread condition.
"This book is unique in that it is the first comprehensive attempt in the 100 years since the outbreak of the war, to provide a full chronological exposition of hostilities and related matters. It is carefully researched and provides a wealth of easily accessible detail to the specialist as well as the general reader." Professor Albert Grundlingh UNISA
"Die boek is die eerste om 'n volledige chronologiese uiteensetting van die oorlogsgebeure te gee. Deeglike navorsing is gedoen wat aan die algemene leser, student en navorser 'n magdom inligting op 'n toeganklike wyse bied." Prof. Andre Wessels (UOVS) Die Volksblad.
