Front and back end papers illustrated with line drawings of the kitchen of the Groenvlei house. Numerous photographs of antique Cape kitchen utensils and the design and structure of the early Cape kitchens. Pages 1 - 112. Dust cover Very Good condition but scuffed on corners and rubbed at top front corner. Book Very Good, with small scratches on spine and bumped at the base of the spine. A photographic and textual record,in Afrikaans, of early Cape kitchens. The book provides a meaningful insight into the way of life of Cape people, particularly in the nineteenth century.
