II. vii, 438, pages, folding map as frontispiece in volume I and lithographic plate of Isbarta as frontispiece in volume II, 9 lithographic plates including a Plan of Cities and a Plan of Churches at the end of volume I, original mauve cloth blind stamped on the covers and gilt titling on the spines (crease in the cloth on the spine of volume I appears to date from the time of original binding), spines slightly faded, edges uncut, half title page in volume I as usual, foxing on the frontispiece and title page of volume II mainly caused by the tissue guard, light foxing on the other plates which are not guarded, original yellow endpapers, contents clean, a very good copy.
A note in an old hand at the head of the title page of volume I states, 'This book belongs to Lord Bereford's library at Bedgebury Park.' There is no bookplate on the endpapers.
