Vol. 11- xii + 397 pages, frontispiece portrait in 1 of Samuel Teleki, frontispiece map in 11 showing the route of the expedition, 34 plates, numerous text illustrations, working loose at the front hinge on both volumes, uncut edges, light foxing, original brown cloth with gilt vignettes on upper covers and gilt antelope heads and titles on the spines - which are starting to fray, a good set.

Departing form Zanzibar, the expedition hunted buffalo, rhino, and a variety of palins game in the neighbourhood of Mount Kilimanjaro. Near Lake Nyriri, more rhino and buffalo were encountered. While hunting elephant, von Höhnel was injured from recoil when he fired his heavy bore rifle from a prone position, Continuing into Kenya, the party hunted rhino, buffalo and eland near Lake Baringo, There was also considerable elephant hunting near Mount Nyiro with additional elephant stalking near Lake Stephanie.
