56 pages, frontispiece of Dr Jameson and his officers returning to England as prisoners on board S.S. Victoria, maps, portraits, book plate on front paste down end paper, cream card wrappers, housed in a light brown cloth solander case, a very good copy.

On the cover: Being and account of the recent uprising in the Transvaal, the grievance of the Uitlanders which led to their revolution against the Boers, and the caused and failures of the Jameson Raid. Together with illustrations, maps and sundry facts here collected and set down for the first time.

Mendelssohn (Sidney) South African Bibliography volume 1, pages 420: A sketch of the Raid, and of the revolution in Johannesburg, with some details respecting the grievances of the Uitlanders. The author had an interview with Mr. John J. Hammond, and discussed the charge of cowardice which had been brought against the Reform Committee. He became convinced that its members did not merit the accusation under which they had rested, and gives his reasons at some length for the conclusion he had arrived at. The pamphlet contains several portraits, maps, and illustrations.
