A very good plus copy of the first edition (in French) preceding the first edition in English by 2 years and the first production on stage (in Paris) by 1 year, of arguably the most significant play of the Twentieth Century. This edition followed the very scarce large paper edition of only 35 copies. In the original printed wrappers which are clean and bright. There are light creases of two corners and slight wear at the base of the spine with a 1cm closed tear at the junction of spine base and the front panel. Internally the book is clean, unmarked and unfoxed.
