78pp. Full Leather bound. This deluxe edition is limited to 150 numbered copies of which Nos 1 to 50 are Presentation Copies and Nos 51 to 150 are the specially bound Collector's Edition. This is Copy No 55. Contents include 14 illustrated chapters.

Subscriber's name is penned to the cover page. The journal contains a loosely inserted membership form and receipt from The Aloe, Cactus and Succulent Society of Rhodesia.

The first issue in Rhodesia of a botanical journal that relies to a large extent on colour illustrations to describe Rhodesian plants. This journal will appeal to all who are interested in acquiring a wider knowledge and appreciation of plants that are somewhat loosely referred to as succulents.

A large chapter is devoted to the Stapeliads in Rhodesia, accompanied by several full colour photographs.

There are further chapters on Aloe seeds, The great tree aloe of Damara Land, Notes on the Aloes of Matabeleland, Notes on Rhodesian Succulents, Growing Lithops from seed, Check list of the Aloes of Rhodesia. Also includes a List of some of the Cycads of the World.
