This is copy number 41 of the Collectors' Edition limited to 90 copies. It is a facsimile reprint of the 1864 edition whose sub-title is: "Being an account of a journey in the years 1861 and 1862 from Walvisch Bay, on the western coast to Lake Ngami and the Victoria Falls."
Housed in the original green buckram book cloth covered slip case.
Quarter red leather binding with gilt titling on the spine, title label, blind stamped decorative device on the green buckram boards. Top edge gilt.

CONDITION DETAILS: Close up images of the spine are provided to show the extent of the sun fading to the spine in detail. Also shown is a dark mark at the very base of the spine. Overall a clean and unread copy with minor signs of age and use such as a light crease down one side of the slip case.
