The subject matter of this book is founded on the stories told me by my grandmother Mrs. Lily Rutherford, and on my Great-Uncle Bob's booklet, The Reminiscences of Robert Noble Acutt. These appeared originally in the magazine, "South Africa", they were later reprinted as a booklet for private circulation.
