A top portion of a blue foolscap ledger page (11 x 21mm) written in ink. Receipt signed by D.C. Botha acknowledging receiving from Major Holmes 'one spring wagon being my own property'. Written at Winburg, Orange River Colony dated 22 September 1901.

Signed autograph note to his Respected Edm. Richter, Field Intelligence Dept. reporting on Boer movements in Natal written in indelible pencil and signed on the back by Ntsana Paramount Chief at Witzieshoek dated 2 -4 -1901.

Written with indelible pencil on a A4 sheet of blue writing paper torn in half. Statement of Comm. David Marec regarding the shooting of armed captives. Undated.

Telegram written in Dutch with a separate English translation – the top edge of the Dutch version is laid down on a stiff card and is written in indelible pencil of 26 lines frayed at the edges. From General de La Rey to General Cronje at Reitfontien (sic) relating boer manoeuvres along the railway line near Kimberly. The burgers of Wolmaranstad took 200 cattle from Kimberley. General Longman was slightly wounded and Pomeroy was taken without any opposition. 2 burghers were were captured through their carelessness. The translation is dated received June 6 1903. sic Received June 6 1900?

Large folio folded in half with a tear down the centre slightly frayed at the edges. Statement - Civiele Recht Department - Vaste salarissen over de Maand Maart 1900 for an amount of 913.9 Pounds, listing 28 names with positions held and monies due with 25 signatures of recipients including J.B.M. Hertzog, who became Prime Minister in 1924.

Folio frayed at the edges and folded in half, written in indelible pencil which has now faded. Statement of wages of the Hoof Komm. C.R. de Wet from 20 Maart tot einde Junie of 1 Pound per day totalling £102 signed by C.R. De Wet and dated 30 Junie 1900.
