Edward Arnold, London, 1896. 1st Edition. Frontispiece and 6 other plates, xii. 341pp, 32pp publisher's list. Original blue cloth gilt with pig sticking vignette in gilt blocked to front board. Gilt titles to spine Cloth a little worn and rubbed especially to the spine ends. Contents fine. Some light foxing to the title page and tissue frontis.

The author recalls his lifetime adventures of hunting tiger, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant and other big game in the Indian sub continent. He was known to have shot a rhino each morning before breakfast. The book is filled with author's big game encounters in different parts of India for half a century starting as early as 1830s and includes how to kill elephants etc.
