South African War Books page 78: A short history of South Africa from 1806 precedes a chronological record of the campaign from the Boer ultimatum to the annexation of the Transvaal in September 1900. Accounts of the besieged towns are included together with profiles of the opposing commanders Lord Roberts and Gen Joubert. The volume is illustrated by Frank Merrill and other artists.
