This copy belonged to Charles Robberts Swart, long-serving Nationalist MP since 1923, who became Minster of Justice in 1948 and was also the last Governor General of the Union until 1961, and subsequently the first State President of the Republic of SA. It has a presentation slip to him in prelims and bears his signature on the front endpaper.
