2 Volume set. Each volume has a Halse family book plate on the front paste down. Robin Halse was well known in South African hunting circles and his daughter, Jane, runs Rowland Ward Publications. Re-bound with new leather spines, raised bands, title labels but retaining the original cloth boards that have a gilt decoration on the upper board. New decorated end papers. Volume one has xvi prelims, 388 pages, frontispiece, vignette title, 4 plates followed by a map. The plates have new tissue guards. Volume two has x prelims, 381 pages, frontispiece, vignette title, 8 plates. Both volumes are complete. CONDITION DETAILS: The new leather spines are clean, but the cloth boards are a bit worn and soiled. Pen name and Robin Halse's ownership stamp in each volume. A couple of marginal stains, soil marks, a couple of small page edge chips, etc., but these volumes are in reasonable condition internally
