xiv + 244pp. Cloth Hardcover. Gilt title to spine. Blind embossed and gilt title to front cover. Tissue guarded frontispiece. Map, b/w plates and large fold-out military contour map of Ladysmith at rear.

Foxing to EPS and frontispiece tissue-guard. Previous owner's name is neatly signed in old style red fountain ink to front free EP. Internally clean and tight. Very good.

Being Unpublished Letters from the 'Daily News' Special Correspondent. The Siege of Ladysmith was a protracted engagement in the Second Boer War, taking place between 30 October 1899 and 28 February 1900.
